    Personal File

Dress Style: Alan is not all that flashy, preferring plain jeans, either blue or brown, a button up shirt or Tee and a jacket on a casual day. He prefers light feeling clothing that does not bind him and that are easy to move about in and work in. He is not to concerned with fashion, though he does enjoy the look of several styles clothing found though out history, though he would likely not wear such styles as a form of casual wear.

Personality: Alan is your typical teen, fun loving, a bit rebellious at times, but generally a good kid at heart. As far as mutant and human affairs went, he had little interest in getting involved in the politics involved, believing in live and let live and judging people by their individual actions then the stereotyping of group or race. He carried these views with him into his new status as a mutant, giving people the benefit of the doubt regardless of being human or mutant. He generally plays by the rules and tries to do the right thing, but he is not above temptation to use his powers for his own benefit, which he does at times. Still he tries not to do anything he feels is wrong, and will try to stand up for others who need help.

Likes: Like any typical teen, Alan likes to do his own thing. He is a bit of a nerd in that he enjoys the fantasy genre, role-playing games, fantasy novels, video games, and other things he considers fun and exciting, making it a bit of a hobby along with his other interests. He likes the outdoors, and sports, though he prefers playing them as opposed to watching them, which he finds a bit boring. He has a bit of an interest in archeology and anthropology, ancient civilizations since they mirror the real life equivalent to his hobbies. He likes brazil nuts and cheesecake.

Dislikes: Alan generally dislikes hypocrisy, bigotry and the ‘us and them’ philosophy that many people take in regards to others. He’s not one to accept that anyone is inherently better then another. He doesn’t like rap music or rock that relies on indecipherable shouting or foul language in it. He hates the taste and texture of celery.

    Alliance: X-men

    History:
Fact grew up pretty much like any other kid in a middle class family household. His family was pretty average, a house with a dog and a fence, a sister and normal friends. Alan was a bit of a geek in school, he liked games and stories about fantastic adventures, Lord of the Rings, and other such things. He would occasionally get picked on through his school years, but had his own little social circle of friends in life and online which shared his interests and could support him through those hard times. His interests lead him to develop a fascination with ancient cultures, and he began studying artifacts and visiting museums, captivated on the ancient lore and crafts that no longer seem to be made in modern times, deciding he wanted to become an anthropologist so he could travel the world and visit he places where such things occurred.

With the support of his parents, he began preparing, looking for colleges with courses that would lead him to his goal, and working hard in school to pass his subjects. In the mean time, he began hanging out at antique stores as a way to practice telling fake antiques from the real thing. Over the course of events of the x-men’s adventures, Alan was disturbed by the sudden attack against everyone, wondering why such things occurred in the world. He didn’t know that the stress of the attack had activated his mutant abilities. He may not have learned of it at all since they didn’t interact with him in any way he could experience for himself, and it was a few years before circumstances were such that he learned he had abilities of his own.

The events of the cure came and went with little effect on Alan’s life, believing himself human. It was only by chance that he came in contact with something that revealed his abilities. He was in an antique shop when someone came in with a gun and tried to hold the place up. Alan was not noticed strait away, hidden by some of the larger items in the store. Alan waited for an opportune moment and tackled the man. He managed to knock the gun away, but the man was bigger and stronger, and easily threw Alan off and into a pile of old bags. Scrambling for something to throw, Alan saw something glowing in one of the bags, reached for it, and threw. A ball of lighting materialized and knocked the man out.

Stunned, Alan picked up the bag to examine it. Before he could come to any conclusion, he was thrown out of the store by the owner, who was apparently more afraid of the mutant in his store then the unconscious robber. Over the course of the next few days, Alan examined the bag and found that he was able to pull a great number of things from it, though strangely this didn’t work with any other bag. Nor was anyone else able to repeat what he did when he if he handed it to. He came to the conclusion that it must be something to do with him, coming to the conclusion that he was a mutant.

Alan wasn’t sure what this meant for him, he knew that mutants were not well received, but at the same time, what he could do was amazing, so he kept the bag, and decided he would continue perusing his original goal, and consider his ‘gift’ just that. However, it was not long before people showed up as his door, apparently knowing what had happened, and offering him a scholarship at their own school to pursue his interests, as well as learn how to control and develop his abilities. Alan accepted, and is now situated in the mansion dorms.

    Mutant Powers:
    Magic Aura
Alan’s mutant ability is rather subtle, it may have been that he would have gone his life without even knowing he had them due to its nature. Alan generates and stores arcane energies within his body. For the most part this is passive, Alan has no innate ability to harness it on instinct, he is more or less a walking magic battery. It does give him unique abilities though. Due to this magic ‘aura’, Alan has a natural capacity for magic that normal people do not, he is capable of wield artifacts of a magical nature with little effort, a feat that usually requires a person to train to harness such powers. Alan’s energy naturally taps into such artifacts and allows him to use them bypassing many perquisites such as knowledge or certain rituals needed to activate them. The best example on hand of this is his bag, a magical artifact that allows the user to conjure things from its depths. A normal person attempting to use it would find it empty and nothing more then a regular bag, lacking the knowledge of how to use it. Alan’s magical aura naturally powers the bag and allows him to use it even though he doesn’t know how he does it. Other magic artifacts he gets a hold of have a similar effect, letting him tap into their power and use them naturally despite no former training (though this does not mean that he can use them to their full potential).

Any magical items, however, are entirely separate from Alan’s capabilities he would be cable of with proper magical training. With proper training in magical arts, Alan could tap into his powers to cast spells on his own. Alan can naturally cast spells, but must first learn how to do so. Due to the excess of magical energy he has at his disposal, learning to harness it would make him an extremely potent spell caster in comparison to someone drawing solely from their own training and reserves.

    Skills:
Alan has an interest in artifacts and anthropology, learning about ancient cultures, different languages, biology, and archeology. While still a student and learning, he is good enough to recognize actual antiquity from fakes and date them, and has a good grasp on ancient writing systems and symbolism, and can speak enough of a few languages to understand Japanese, Spanish, French and German.

    Items/Equipment:

    The Bag:

An old leather satchel that Alan came across by chance in an antique shop. In reality it is ancient magic artifact that can conjure a number to things from within at the users command. Alan can think of or describe what he wants and reach into the bag and pull out the object, or release a handful of magic energy that conjures the requested item for ones bigger then the bag itself which can be mundane object or weapon, living creatures, or bolts or balls of energy. Items can be returned to the bag after use unless used up in the case of energy or expendable things, which results in some recovery of some of the energy used to conjure it.

    Weaknesses:
While Alan’s powers allow him to use magical artifacts he usually wouldn’t be able to, that does not make him automatically master them. His bag for instance he can use, but his lack of knowledge results in some… technical issues. While he can always successfully pull something from the bag, it may not always be exactly what he asks, for instance, he could want a grenade, and instead pull out a pineapple, or ask for something to ride, and pull out a unicycle. The bag never fails to produce, but may not always produce something useful, in fact one of Alan’s pet peeves is he can’t get the bag to produce usable money, always pulling out monopoly bills and wooden nickels. Alan’s powers allow him to use items, but don’t grant him the knowledge or experience to use them to heir fullest extent.

He is limited on the size and complexity of items he can pull from his bag, the most complex thing he can pull out if a working motorcycle and generally can’t produce anything that weighs much heavier then that. He cannot conjure anything imaginary or ‘magical’, thus cannot use the bag to produce a flaming sword or a dragon. He can produce balls and bolts of energy to use offensively, their power and effect varying with what he asks for. Using the bag of course taps into his magical reserves, and constant casting will eventually wear him out.

Alan for the most part is ignorant of his magical gifts or the full nature of his ability, believing the bag is his only power. If the bag is taken from him, he can’t use it, rendering him human for the most part. The bag itself is not indestructible, and if damaged to a certain extent would destroy its magic and render it useless.

    Family:
Alan has a living mother and father(George and Diane), and a younger sister(Emma).
