Personal File

Dress Style: Marina used to wear a gypsy costume (a nice one!) nearly every day for a few years. It was only when she left the scene did she realize how hard it was to dress like a normal person again. She has a hard time figuring out her own "style" of appearance, and so has been known to show up in a chic form one day and Under Armour the next. Generally though, she will appear in comfortable clothes (dance sneakers, cotton lycra pants, and a tank). She almost always accessorizes her mane though and will wear some small assortment of hair flowers, feathers, head scarf, or something.

Personality: Marina is a sweetheart and laughs...all the time. She can be loud and rambunctious, but her intentions are almost always good. Sometimes she just doesn't have volume control. She is very proud of her heritage and will talk your ear off if you let her. She is not the shy sort, but can be slightly reserved if put in a place she is completely unfamiliar with. She is very excitable and energetic. If you present her with candy she will love you forever. Marina, though a playful creature, does take her work seriously. She is easy to trust, though finds trouble trusting others. Despite her generally sweet nature, she can resort to irritation in a second so long as you know the right buttons to push. Her temper is easily controlled on the outside, but on the inside she is killing you over and over again. She has sometimes done things out of anger, but regrets most of them.

History:

Marina was born and raised in New Orleans. Her mother was a Brazilian-Greek woman who married a Cajun man. Her father was a street performer with a monkey and her mother was a psychic who eventually went on to own her own series of ghost tours and even a small voodoo shop and museum. Her parents now work the business together. In fact, it was there that Marina got her start. She worked in the family business as a psychic and tour guide. She was young though...and made mistakes. Unfortunately she didn't learn from them until someone died because of it. After that she and her parents agreed it would be best for her to go somewhere to better train her gifts.

Mutant Powers:

Mind powers. She is not a psychic, though she believes it is possible that power is in her somewhere and it is her job to either coax it out or learn it's not there and move on. Instead, Marina is a pusher and an illusionist. Much like a hypnotist but she doesn't need to work so hard to earn the trust of her target. She can make a target believe or see anything. It won't actually BE there, but they don't need to know that.

Skills:

In depth knowledge of history that in the long run help her to succeed in pushing all the more. She didn't get her degree, but before she left for the academy, she was majoring in Psychology with a minor in History. She is trained as an actor and dancer, courtesy of her parents. She knows how to play piano and violin. Marina doesn't know much about fighting, other than how to pull a knife on someone and defend herself if it came down to it.

Weaknesses:

Like mentioned above, she is not a great fighter...at all. When it comes to her powers, they drain her if done with adrenaline or too much at a time. If the person is also trained in the ways of the mind and can resist her powers, it can cause severe trauma to herself.
