Personality:A little stand offish, dark and brooding at times, he’s not happy with the cards life dealt him, being a former anti-mutant activist, learning that not all mutants are bad is going to take some getting used to. Though genuinely a nice guy, he does have a soft spot for the softer sex.

History: General William Stryker had left a massive signature on the world well before he passed. The Purifiers and the Reavers were two such signatures… inspired by his televangelist days, they took pro-humanity to extremes… The Purifiers, still a work in progress, were intended to be augmented humans designed to hunt and kill mutants, the project was scrapped after Stryker died at Alkali Lake.

The Reavers however, began before the General’s military career, as a group of young men and women who sought to destroy mutants, wherever they could find them. Militant in nature, and sanctioned by the government, they were a very real threat. Joshua Foley was among them, their leader Donald Pierce choosing him to work as a medic. It wasn’t until one, particularly bad mission resulted in the loss of Pierce’s limbs. All four of them… Josh tried treating his wounds, but he was bleeding out… until a golden glow came from Josh’s hands… the bleeding stopped, the Reavers taking Pierce to a hospital for proper treatment…

Josh ran home in terror, finding his squad waiting for him. Taunting him, calling him names, the first time he felt the sting of ‘mutie freak’ be shouted his way… And then he was severely beaten. He was found, bleeding and broken, on his doorstep, by his parents who rushed him to a hospital. Once they found out he was a mutant however, they quickly disowned him. Leaving him to his own devices, with nowhere to go, no money, no food, he thought he was going to die… But Xavier wouldn’t allow a mutant, even one who had hated mutants, just die… He offered him a place at his school, working on making things legal. Josh at first, angrily, rejected the offer… until the Reavers found him again, another beating was in store for him, as they held him down… a rifle to his head. The X-Men wound up saving him that day, and this time… he grudgingly accepted attending Xavier’s school for Gifted Youngsters. While Xavier seeks to find someone to act as Josh’s legal guardian at the school…

Mutant Powers:

Biokinesis: Elixir is capable of controlling the biological structure of his own and other people's bodies. Theoretically capable of rewriting someone's genetic structure at will. He can produce biomolecular energy at will to affect organic matter he touches, allowing him to heal physical damage done to his body or the bodies of others, reactivate suppressed mutant abilities, repair cerebral functions, and alter the composition of his own molecules in certain ways. He hasn't reached his full healing potential yet. Currently he is capable of basic healing, having successfully healed broken bones, severe burns and even a mortal stab through the chest. His ability is by close proximity - he tends to touch his targets, but can heal through clothing. He may eventually develop enough control of his powers to manipulate the human genome, altering eye, hair and skin color, implanting physical characteristics or even reactivating dormant mutant or atavistic genes.



Skills: Skilled in first aid, having the proper certification and everything.

Weaknesses: Using his powers for extreme feats of biological manipulation can wear out his body causing him to collapse.

Anything else of note:Elixir has of yet used his powers to heal himself… as a side effect, if he ever does, his skin will become golden in nature. Likewise, should he use his power to kill someone, he’d turn ebon black, and turning back to his golden form will become more and more difficult.
