       Personal File

Dress Style: Since the cure had begun to wear off, Rogue sticks to wearing jeans, a jacket, gloves, and usually a scarf around her neck, pulled up at times to rest on her head.

Personality: Rogue isn't the sort to let things slide, often speaking her mind (courtesy of Danvers' influence), she'll tell you how it is, with no remorse.  Though she is a loving person and enjoys taking care of people, she tends to avoid contact due to the dangerous nature of her powers.  Meaning she doesn't get to show that southern hospitality of her's often.

Likes: Showing off that southern hospitality, music, movies (she's seen more than enough in her solitude, and is a bit of a buff in the subject)

Dislikes: Her powers, Others trying to control her, Wearing long sleeves in the middle of a Mississippi summer

       Alliance: X-Men

History: Rogue's parents, Owen and Priscilla, married early in their relationship and lived in a back-to-nature hippie commune in Caldecott County, Mississippi. Born as Anna Marie, she also enjoyed the attentions of her Aunt Carrie on her mother's side. The commune's failed attempt to use Native American mysticism to reach the Far Banks resulted in Priscilla's disappearance. Carrie took over Anna's care and, in her grief at the loss of her sister, was a strict and authoritarian guardian. Anna Marie was a rebellious child and her equally poor relationship with her father prompted her to run away from home as a young teenager.

This also prompted the nickname "Rogue".

At some point, Rogue grew close to a boy named Cody Robbins. During their flirtation, Rogue impulsively kissed Cody, at which point her latent mutant power to absorb the life energy and psyche of others with skin-to-skin contact emerged. Cody was left in a coma from which he would not awaken. Rogue was traumatized by the experience and she wore body-concealing clothing that eliminated the possibility of accidental skin contact. Rogue was not able to control her absorption power at first; any skin-to-skin contact activated it, and she sometimes retained residual memories of the people she touched. Rogue wished she did not have to cover up so much around folks, to protect them from her

Rogue travelled to Canada, taking solstice in the wooded lands, though she quickly found herself drawn back into civilization time and time again.  Not just for the necessity of scrounging for food and shelter, but she found she actually craved the sounds of humans.  There she slipped into a bar to take some refuge from the cold, only to witness an impressive cage fight, followed by a brutal bar fight, the man who had been attacked baring brutal looking metal claws from his hand.  His stand offish nature, and seeming unwillingness to be touched, combined with his mutant abilities, appealed to Rogue, and she stowed away on his truck.  He quickly sniffed her out, and after a bit of begging, she wound up getting a ride with the man called Logan.

However, they were quickly attacked by a tree... at least from her perspective.  Her legs were trapped, as she watched Logan get flung from the truck, neck twisted at an odd angle.  Fearing the worse, she struggled to free herself... heat racing up her back as she felt flames.  Until she realized Logan was standing, fixing himself... and healing, rapidly, before her very eyes.  It wasn't a time to be relieved though, another figure, more beast than man, descended on Logan, turning a potential rescue situation even more dire.  Logan fighting desperately against his foe, but it was a losing battle.  It wasn't until the appearance of two others, did the fight turn in Logan's favor.  The woman called to the winds... and they answered, lightning raining down on the beast, blasting him into the woods.  The man, stared at her seat belt, causing it to explode, as he yanked her free.

Then the truck exploded.  She awoke in a school of sorts, for people like her... though she rapidly found that that wasn't the case.  They could still touch each other... they could share a kiss, hold hands...  And after an incident with Logan, where she startled him awake and he stabbed her, causing her to steal his lifeforce to heal, she ran away.  A recurring theme.

Logan easily tracked her down as she boarded a train bound for nowhere.  He told her he wasn't going to make her stay, but that he believed in Xavier.  But then she met Magneto, who easily dispatched of Logan, and with the beast from the road, captured her.  She was to be used as a conduit, Magneto planned on giving her his power so that he could turn the world population, into mutants.  Regrettably she'd die, of course, but the new world would need it's martyrs...

Luckily the X-Men, Logan, Scott, Jean, and Ororo assaulted the Statue of Liberty and were able to save her, and defeat Magneto, working as a team.  After the events she settled back into the school, but watched as Logan left... he was a wanderer by nature, and Xavier promised to help him find his place.  He returned from time to time, but she felt more and more distant to the man others merely called The Wolverine.

Shortly after a return from Logan, he claimed to have found something, but needed the Professor's help around the same time the President was attacked.  While Jean and Ororo were out to investigate the school was attacked, Logan managed to get some of the students to safety while he escaped with three students, Bobby Drake, John St. Alerdyce, and Rogue.  They went to Bobby's home for a time, before his brother called the MRD on them.  John, angerred by the continued hatred toward their existance, set flame to their would be attackers before Jean and Ororo found them and helped them escape.  There they met another mutant, Kurt Wagner.

Rogue had seen many weird things, but this really took the cake, only three digits on each limp, a tail... and blue fur... he looked beastly.  She'd be sure to keep clear of him... Though that didn't last.  After Jean managed to locate the Professor, they all assembled to attack the Weapon X facility... birthplace of Logan's metal claws.  Only to be promptly shot down, and Rogue left to plummet in open air.  Kurt however, teleported to save her at the last second.

There they ran into Magneto, who saved them, and forged an uneasy alliance to free Xavier.  After the events, Logan once more left them.  A fact that caused Rogue to harbor several grudges...  Despite him leaving her his dogtags.  Logan resurfaced again to help with training.. as if he never left, much to Rogue's ire.  Her temper becoming more and more clear, despite her romance with Bobby Drake.  Unfortunately, a kiss nearly killed him, causing her to withdraw more.  When he recovered, he started what seemed to be a romance, with Kitty Pryde instead, truly devestating Rogue.

With the newfound cure established, Rogue finally decided to get it... Being one of the first in line.  For a time she was happy, though any bond she had with either Logan or Bobby Drake was broken, and she knew she couldn't return to the Institute... she left, back to her wandering roots...

For a while she even took on a job as a waitress, enjoying her bit of normalcy.  The most common patrons she had to deal with there were the Airmen from the Air base just outside of town, and the occassional MRD.  She found that the MRD still rubbed her the wrong way, but one Airman, a woman by the name of Carol Danvers, helped put her at ease.  The two became fast friends.  Though things would go to hell soon enough, she enjoyed the conversations and the jokes... the occassional bare knuckled, good natured punch to her equally bare arm.  Without fear of repurcussion... until she started hearing the voices.  That was the worst part... first she heard Cody's voice, then a plethora of others, somewhere she could make out Logan's... Bobby's... her powers... the cure wasn't permenant.

It happened in the middle of her shift, two tables of MRD, and Danvers with her usual table.  Rogue's nerves skyrocketed as she realized she was becoming a mutant again and rather than try to calm herself and explain to Carol... she turned and ran.  Danvers, worried for her friend, gave chase... the MRD suspecting her nerves on being a mutant (they suspect random humans if the distrust them), they too gave chase.  It was in an alley when Carol's hand fell on Rogue's arm.  She got out the words, "What's wron-" and her grip tightened.

Rogue was surprised by a lot of things, like how strong Carol was at first as the life started to drain from her eyes.  Then the memories started to flood... she saw family... Rogue's family even... the X-Men... Carol Danvers was once an X-Man before she left to join the Air Force... and it was at Xavier's request that she keep an eye on young Rogue to make sure she was doing okay.  She felt the actual friendship that had develloped, however, and the love she had of those people she had left behind so long ago.  The raw power, the strength, the flight... and she rapidly felt how to use them.  Finally able to wrench herself free she breathed trying to recover, thankful that it'd only be temporary... but then the MRD struck.

All they knew was that a mutant had attacked and 'killed' a servicemember... so they attacked.  The bricks exploded around them as Rogue moved to cover up the unconscious Carol... then the buildings collapsed atop them.  Rogue was pinned atop Carol, cheek to cheek as she tried to push free...  But it was too much, and in the end she absorbed more from Danvers than she had anyone ever before.

Finally finding the strength to push the rubble off them she managed to get free, checking Carol's pulse.  She let out a sigh of relief, she was weak but stable... her strength was impressive.  With Carol safe, her attention turned to the MRD... So long had she run, so often... she wasn't going to do it anymore... instead she barrelled in, throwing their own vehicles at them tossing them into the air, flying all over the battlefield, finally the MRD had had enough and retreated, leaving Rogue to get Carol to the hospital.

She waited for her to wake up over the course of the following week or so... only to realize she wasn't going to be doing that anytime soon. Comatose due to an unwarranted MRD attack... At least that's what she told them... The Air Force backed her story, they'd known Carol was a mutant, at least her unit did.  That'd cause some backlash she hoped.  Rogue however had other things to attend to.  She had been irrational.  She still despised her powers, but to have left her friends... her family.  People who actually wanted to help, despite how lousy they were at showing it...  That was the true crime.  She'd become distant with Logan, and she wasn't sure if she'd ever get that close to him again... but by God, she wasn't going to run away anymore.

She'd fly through the air, heading toward New York... to the Xavier's Institute... toward home.
