Dress Style: Gambit's armored suit - black, magenta, and blue -allows him a some protection, though the brown trench coat is merely for show. He wears black gloves with the forefinger and pinkie cut off, carries a telescopic bo staff and a deck or two of cards.

Personality: Gambit is a lover and a fighter. His sharp intellect and his sarcastic wit make him out to be an ass at times, but he can actually be a good friend to those who tolerate him. He has his own moral code, though few ever know what it is as he cheats, steals, and lies with the best of them. A cunning individual, he's also very manipulative and prone to annoyance when things don't go smoothly.

A fantastical fighter, he's not against using his wit to talk himself out of sticky situations. A powerful mutant with plenty of hard-won skills and abilities, he'll use his charms to win over friends and enemies alike using his raging charisma and self-surety. Smooth around the ladies, he's no stranger to their wiles.

History: Born in New Orleans, he was taken from the hospital as a newborn and raised by the a thieves' guild known as the LeBeau Clan. Called 'Le Diable Blanc", or the white devil, he was rumored to be part of a prophecy - said to unite the warring guilds. Raised by a mob, he took to thievery like a second nature. Stealing from the wrong person, however - Jean-Luc, the patriarch of the thieves' guild - he was adopted off the streets and given a proper family.

By the time he was a teen, his mutant powers had begun to manifest, though he kept it a secret from everyone. This secret wasn't kept for long, unfortunately. During a ceremony with the Guild, another mutant captured him and recognized him for the powers he had. Sold to a slave trader working for HYDRA, Remy learned his soon-to-be signature attack - charging playing cards and using their bio-kinetic powers to set them free. He was ultimately rescued by the Guild, though others with him were not so fortunate - one being Etienne, whom Remy took as his own namesake.

He was later hired by a mysterious figurehead, and sent to steal diaries from the Weapon X program. Accepting the mission, he was there to witness Wolverine's adamantium procedure before stealing the diaries. Burning them instead of handing them over, he knew there would be a lot of slack for it back home. In order to make up for it, he married the granddaughter of the head Assassin. The union didn't last long since her brother challenged him to a duel after the wedding. Remy killed him and was exiled.

In exile, he roamed the world and became a master thief while honing his mutant powers. Going to Shaw for help, he had some of his growing powers removed so he could live a more controlled life. In return, however, Gambit had to carry out missions for him - namely going in to spy on the X-Men. Proving his cunning worth, they accepted him into the fold, and were soon off on various deadly missions the most recent of them getting him kidnapped by Magneto to have his powers drained for a machine.

Back safely at headquarters now, Gambit seeks out a means to get out of his deal with Shaw, and prove himself to be a man of some worth...

Mutant Powers: Bio-kinetic energy, hypnotic charm

Skills: Master thief, proficient fighter (French kick-boxing or Savate), and skilled bo staff wielder (Bojutsu), he's also a cunning card player and ladies' man.

Weaknesses: Beautiful women.
