Dress Style: Alex is a muscular man, rippling muscles and bronzed skin. He's definately got the appearance of a surfer. He tends to wear tank tops and blue jeans, or
shorts, and sandals... when its colder, he puts on a leather bomber's jacket, and sneakers.
When in costume, as Havok, he wears all black, with white circles throughout his suit. The suit working in tandem with the focusing disc he, almost always,wears as well, his mask has three white ridges, one cresting the center of his head, the other two touching the front of the middle one, and moving to the back of his head, diagnolally, outward.

Personality: Alex is not a likeable person... angry and bitter at the world... he has a tendency to fly off the handle at a given moment, prone to being quiet and brooding... and to change abruptly into yelling and screaming... occassionally going to violence. He's impulsive, wanting to do things now, and get them over with. Having little tolerance for those who would rather wait and weigh options, he'd rather wade right on in.

History:
Alex was too young to recall what happened, though he can see it in his dreams on occassion... the plane, buffetted by heavy winds... the flying object that struck the engine causing a horrific fire... the falling, with his brother.. the parachute... the object turning in the air above them... moving back to the plane... another flash of light... then an explosion, signifying what they thought was their parent's death. A piece of debris struck Scott in the head as they tumbled, knocking him unconcious... and causing him to drop Alex, the first memory he has of his brother. Seperated, he landed in the ocean, land barely on the horizon, whereas Scott landed inland. He recalls calling for Scott, expecting him to save him... and though salvation came, it was at the hands of a Coast Guard vessel.

When he was finally brought inland, no one knew where to find Scott, the only name the six year old Alex could offer besides his own. Though he continued to hold hope that his brother would find him as he was placed in the local orphanage. Then adopted, by the Blandings. They had recently lost their son, Todd, and were content with treating him as though he was Todd. When he turned ten though, trouble started. The school bully, Victor, decided it was Alex's turn to be picked on. Alex soon learned that it was his violence that had killed Todd, and the stress of the situation, caused his powers to manifest. Victor was vaporized, leaving no trace of his existance, save the burnt on shadow against the wall. Naturally Alex freaked... and ran as far as he could.

That didn't last long at all, and soon he had to take to stealing, just to eat. He wasn't very good at it though, and was caught. He resisted arrest, time and time again, but always wound up behind bars... using his powers to escape each time. Finally, he was caught stealing from the estate of Nathaniel Essex, a skilled genecist. Rather than turn him into the authorities, he saw a great potential, and offered to help put him through college. When he asked why he'd do that for him, Essex told him he saw great things in store for him. Great things indeed.

Alex eventually gained his Masters in Geophysics, and began working on a doctorate, before boredom overtook him. Though he had learned the nature of his powers, and their uncontrollable nature... so with the help of Dr. Essex, he was able to fashion a focusing disc that he could channel his energies into. Pleased with the results, Essex handed him a picture of a man... a man with an odd looking visor. Alex looked to Essex questionally, and got his sinister smile... sinister... huh, that word fit Essex to a T. The man in the picture was Scott Summers... Alex's big brother. The big brother who dropped him... the brother who left him for dead... the brother who never looked for him, never found him... the brother he had waited for for twenty four years... the brother he'd finally get to answer his questions... and if he got to beat up on him.. oh well. With Essex's bidding, and blessings, he set out for Xavier's...

Mutant Powers:
Solar battery: Alex's body contains several storage cells, that allows him to absorb solar energy, without having to focus on it. It's a natural event, once the cells have reached capacity, they release nominal amounts of solar energy back into the atmosphere. This allows him to be at full power, so to speak, full strength, full speed, and fully charge (awake). He needs considerably less sleep when he's charged.

Plasma blasts: Utilizing the energies stored within him, he can create energy blasts of pure plasma. They normally formulate as wisps of red energy that flow around him like nuclei, before being released in wild directions. Though when he wears his focusing disc upon his chest, he's able to focus it and fire it out in a steady stream of hot plasma. The plasma has no concussive force behind it, but it is so hot that it can cause solid objects to explode upon contact... giving it the appearance of a concussive blast. At full power he can vaporize solid matter, though he can lower the power of his blasts to cause severe headaches in his target, without causing them to burn.

Skills:
Geophysics: Despite his temper and impatience, Alex is a brilliant man. Having earned his masters degree in geophysics, and is one of the most gifted in the field.

Medicine: His impatience gets him here... he's a passable medic, but he never finished his doctorate, though he has completed a great deal of personal research in the field.

Instinctual tactics and strategy: Alex is alot smarter than most people would give him credit for, able to see several possibilities ahead of time, going so far as to being able to lay the groundworks for complex traps and ambushes. He can come up with strategies on the fly as well, quickly coming up with ways to beat any given objective.

Overemotional: Not so much as an ability, as an issue, possibly even a weakness, but the reason it's listed here is due to the sheer 'noise' in his mind. It often sounds like an angry mob shouting and screaming in his head for telepaths... rendering his actual thought process alien and unknowledgable to them, completely unreadable.

Weaknesses:
Solar Powered: Like any solar battery, he can work in darkness, however his cells slowly drain then without him even using his powers. He has a 72 hour charge in complete darkness, like underground... or any other place devoid of sunlight. Rendering him just plain exhausted and tired, and devoid of his plasma blasts. Likewise, he can discharge his cells all at once in a very powerful plasma blast, however it will rendered him exhausted as well, and it will take 15 hours of sunlight to recharge.
