Personal File
Dress Style: Often wearing a harness underneath his street clothing, he’s able to conceal his wings under a long coat, and oft-times dressed to the nines. Though he prefers tanktops that let his wings breath as is the case when he’s in costume.
Personality: Warren is a charismatic individual, often flirtatious, he also has a professional air about him. A proud mutant, he’s sought to help other mutants… even if that means being labelled a terrorist himself. He also has bouts of long suffering depression.
Likes: Flying, Women, and being a mutant.
Dislikes: Human supremacy, crime, being grounded
Alliance: X-Men
History: Born into an extremely wealthy family, young Warren attended a prestigious East Coast boarding school where he roomed with Cameron Hodge. Warren's life changed forever the day he began sprouting wings from his shoulder blades, and he hid them under his clothes. Later, when fire struck his dormitory, Warren discovered while escaping that his wings enabled him to fly. Donning a blond wig and long nightshirt to disguise himself as an anonymous "angel," Warren saved the other students. Warren soon became the costumed crime-fighting Avenging Angel and attracted the attention of his father who knew of his mutations. His father worked hard to develop a cure that would ‘fix’ his son. Warren was resigned to his fate, until he looked out the window at the gathering crowd, all coming to accept the cure… Warren wound up escaping, leaping from the window above, and flying over the crowd, fully revealing himself for the first time. Also making some of the others in the crowd reject the cure.
Warren made his way to Xavier’s school for the gifted youngsters… to find the students slowly disbanding. Xavier was dead. With no guidance, there was no X-Men, and no school… Warren refused to accept that, and, when the news came on, revealing Worthington Industries Alcatraz facility to be under attack… Warren left to join the battle, helping innocent bystanders get to safety. His work was cut out for him, until the X-Men arrived. Warren wasn’t in the battle itself, but he caught his father from falling from the tower he had leaped from days earlier. In the end, the cure had been administered to a number of the mutants, and the X-Man Jean Grey. The school was devestated… but, life would go on. Warren joined with them for a short time to help in the rebuilding effort, his father even pouring his fortune into the estate. His father fully supporting Warren’s lifestyle now. But life at the academy wasn’t something Warren could just live with. So he left… out of the limelight, out of the eyesight.
He resurfaced some while ago, it started with the bombing of Trask Plaza… and the destruction of a facility trying to recreate the cure once the public realized it was wearing off. The Angel was quickly labelled a terrorist… a mutant terrorist. Though his attacks never actually hurt anyone, he still couldn’t shake that stigma humanity had for mutants. Instead of asking why he did it… it was just mutants attacking humans. He was planning one final attack, one that would possibly result in his death… when Xavier found his mind. It surprised him at first, he had never met the man, but here he was, alive. Offering him a better alternative. Warren eventually relented, and took his offer, though he still had some business to handle. Becoming vice president of Worthington Industries… with his father’s blessing… he headed back to the Xavier’s Institute, not as a student, but as a guide, someone who could truly help others.
Mutant File
Mutant Powers:
• Flight : Angel has fully feathered wings that span 16' and have a very flexible skeletal structure. He can fly by flapping his wings, and can reach speeds of up to 150 mph. Though he generally flies below the height of clouds at 6,500 feet, Angel can reach a height of 10,000 feet with little effort. His wings are strong enough to carry aloft at least 200 pounds in addition to his own body weight. Angel's entire anatomy is adapted for flight, having hollow bones; a body virtually devoid of fat, granting him enhanced proportionate muscle strength; eyes that can withstand high-speed winds; enhanced eyesight enabling him to see at distances far greater than the average human; and a special respiratory membrane that extracts oxygen from the air at extreme velocities and altitudes.
• Enhanced strength
• Aerial adaptation
• Peak physical attributes
Skills: Angel is a skilled combatant, especially in aerial hand-to-hand combat. He is also a talented businessman whose wealth ranks him in the lower part of the Fortune 500 list.
Weaknesses: Impetuousness, overly loyal, and overly compassionate, it can blind him.
Family: Kathyrn Worthington (mother, deceased), Warren Worthington Jr. (father)
