    Personal File

Dress Style: Working - When Jean is busy working, she's quite often in comfortable old jeans and tees-shirts with hiking boots or sneakers. Since she was resurrected, she finds herself more comfortable and safe in this style of clothing. If she's busy, she often keeps her hair pulled back in a loose bun or pony tail to keep it out of her face.

Business - When teaching classes, speaking on behalf of mutant kind, or being a public figure of any kind, Jean wears business suits with heeled boots. Her long red hair falls in waves around her shoulders, sleek and shining

    Personality:
Jean is normally a bright and lively individual, with a warm attitude and positive outlook, eager to help those in need, mutant and human alike.
Recent events have given her a distinct level of guilt, having killed Scott, sided with Magneto, and nearly killing Logan. Her temper does flare from time to time, but she tries her best to avoid it fearing a relapse into the uncontrolled nature she experienced before. She tries to steer clear of those parties she grievously hurt..

Likes: Advocacy - Jean fights for mutant rights with the best of them. She tries to be much like her "father" Xavier, and promote the belief that humans and mutants are equals.

Intelligence - Jean is very fond of conversations where someone can match her wits. It's rare that she comes in to contact with someone she can have a deep conversation with, and when it does, she appreciates it that much more.

Strength - Jean loves seeing the strength in others. It warms her to the core, seeing others fight for what they believe in.

Dislikes: Dishonesty - Being a telepath, anyone that tries to pull a fast one on her immediately turns her off. She doesn't care for dishonesty in the least bit.

Abandonment - Jean is a caregiver by nature, and seeing others abandoned makes her blood absolutely boil.

Unnecessary Violence - With all the violence in the world, Jean hates seeing it when it servers absolutely no purpose.

    Alliance: X-Men

History: From an early age in life, Jean absorbed every bit of information she could get her fingers on. Her parents, John and Elaine, supported her thirst for knowledge, knowing it would only do her good.

Unfortunately, at the young age of ten, Jean witnessed the death of her best friend, Annie. Whilst holding the girl in her arms, her telepathic powers manifested and she witnessed the death through the eyes of the dying. It forever changed her.

No longer was the child happy, as all pre-teens should be. She became chronically depressed and withdrawn. It wasn't until she turned thirteen that Xavier appeared. With the realization of her telepathy, he put a block in place which secured her life-long loyalty to him. He took the opportunity to help her with her telekinetic powers, helping them grow and strengthen through a series of private sessions and then through training at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters after it opened.

After graduating from high school, Jean went on to pursue her Doctorate at Metro College. At this point, her long-time crush, Scott Summers, had asked her out and she'd agreed. She returned to Xavier's shortly after to become a teacher and remained close to Scott.

During a mission to rescue a new student at the school, Jean was forced to use Cerebro in attempts to locate the girl. In the course of the mission, whether through Cerebro or Magneto it can't be sure, some of Jean's mental blocks broke loose. Over the course of the next year, her powers began to grow exponentially.

In another series of events, what others perceived as her death, Jean was trapped under Alkaline lake after saving the entirety of the Xmen team as well as several students who had been kidnapped from Xavier's. Months later, Scott drove to the lake, thinking he'd heard Jean calling to him. Logan showed up shortly thereafter, finding no trace of Scott save for his protective visor, and an unconscious Jean laying on the ice. He returned her to Xavier's.

Jean later escaped the medical ward at the Institute, knocking Logan out in the process. When Xavier managed to catch up with her, Magneto was there too, hoping to draw her into his fold. At the mention of Scott dying at Alkaline lake, Jean's rage took over, and she killed Xavier despite the attempts of Logan and Storm to save him. She left that day with Magneto.

During the attack on Worthington Labs alongside Magneto, Logan approached her, begging her to take control of herself again. He claimed he would do anything for her, even die if that's what it would take. Her love for him allowed her to take control, for the briefest of moments, and beg him to kill her. Logan regrettably took her life.

The Phoenix Force, confused by the actions, acknowledging her love for the people she was around, caused both herself and Scott to be resurrected.

She's returned to Xavier's Institute, withdrawn and confused. She stands along side Storm in running the Institute, but remains wary of herself, and very careful of those around her, fearing she might hurt someone again.

    Mutant File

    Mutant Powers:
Telepathic Defense: She can manifest her telepathy in a number of defensive ways.

Telepathic Cloak: She can mask her presence and the use of her abilities from being detected by other psions and psychic entities. She can extend these defenses to others around her as well. Cloaking via telepathy is not perfect and powerful psis may notice and 'see' through this ability.

Cloak Mind: Ability to rearrange the “mental engrams” of mutants so their distinctive mutant thought patterns cannot be detected by Cerebro-type devises or by other telepaths.

Psychic Shield: Ability to erect a psychic shield for protection of herself and of others minds.

Telepathic Illusions: She can create realistic telepathic illusions and cause people to experience events which are not actually occurring.

Telepathic Camouflage: She can alter the apparent physical appearance of herself and other people by altering the perceptions of those around her. This can go so far as to make other people believe that the camouflaged people are not there (invisible). A limit, if one exists, is only imposed by the number of people she is trying to fool, not the number of people she is camouflaging.

Telepathic Manipulation: She can manipulate other people's minds easily, achieving a variety of effects.

Mind Control: She can control the thoughts and actions of others.

Mind Possession: She can possess the mind of another, and use that being's body as her own.

Personality Alteration: She can alter the minds of others by force of will, permanently changing their personality partially or entirely.

Mental Paralysis: She can induce temporary mental or physical paralysis..

Mental Amnesia: She can erase any awareness of particular memories or cause total amnesia.

Mind Transferral: She can transfer both her mind and powers into other host bodies if her own physical body could be somehow killed.

Heal Trauma: The ability to erase a person’s memories and to heal mental trauma through “psychic surgery,” the power to stimulate or deaden the pain and pleasure centers in a persons brain.

Mental Sedating: Can telepathically "sedate" her victims so that, if already rendered unconscious, they remain so for as long as she continues to "sedate" them.

Neural Jumpstart: She can increase the speed of neural signals in the brain, she could increase another mutants powers to incredible levels, but the effect was only temporary.

Dilate Power: Ability to place “psychic inhibitors” in the minds of mutant adversaries to prevent them from using their powers.

Mind Link: Ability to develop a mental link with any person which remains as a connection to that individual.

Psychic Blast: She can project psychic force bolts which have no physical effects but which can affect a victim's mind so as to cause the victim pain or unconsciousness and turning someone brain-dead.

Astral Projection: She can project her astral form from her body onto Astral Plane or the physical plane. In the physical plane she can travel in astral form over vast distances. In the astral plane, she can mentally create psionic objects and manipulate the aspects of her environment. She can communicate with others astrally through her own will, or through contact with the thoughts and memories of others.

Mental Detection: She can sense the presence of another superhuman mutant within a small but as yet undefined radius of himself by perceiving the distinctive mental radiations emitted by such a being

Skills: Jean has a photographic memory. She also holds a Doctoral Degree in Medicine and works in the School's Medical Facilities as well as teaches.

Weaknesses: Jean is physically human. She can be wounded if she can't produce a psionic shield fast enough. She is prone to headaches with overuse of powers.

Family: Dr. John Grey (History professor, father, deceased), Elaine Grey (Mother, deceased)

Anything else of note:Jean has unnaturally thin ankles and wrists, which she claims she compensates for by having a buff mind.
